Sea Moss (Irish moss) is a type of algae, I know it doesn’t look or sound appealing, but it’s packed with health benefits and once prepared into a gel it’s tasteless and perfect to add to smoothies, juices, soups, desserts etc. You can even apply it to your face as a face mask! .
Sea Moss has 92 minerals out of the 102 minerals that your body needs. I heard about Sea Moss from Dr Sebi. Sea Moss is an incredible superfood, very iron dense, it helps with anemia. It’s rich in magnesium, calcium, zinc and B12. Sea Moss is also great for brain health, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, promotes healthy skin, increases energy and much more!
I take 1 tbsp a day and have noticed changes in my health, mainly increased energy and mental clarity .
How to make Sea Moss Gel
Remove your Sea Moss from the package and wash it throughly.
Place your washed Sea Moss in a stainless steel or glass bowl and fill it with filtered or spring water. Add juice from 1-2 limes (depending on how much Sea Moss you are making) This will take away any ocean smell/taste. Leave to soak for between 12-24 hours.
After soaking, you’ll notice the Sea Moss has expanded. This is normal.
Drain the water and add your Sea Moss to a blender, add fresh spring water, pour to approx the same level of water as the Sea Moss.
Blend for 1-2 minutes until completely smooth.
Pour into a glass jar and store in the fridge until it solidifies into a gel.
Sea Moss gel can last in the fridge for 3-4 weeks.
When purchasing Sea Moss we advise organic wildcrafted, preferably from St Lucia.
Disclaimer. If you have health conditions, or take medication always consult your doctor before taking Sea Moss.
